What is this about?

This project was made to allow myself to experience how to make environments. I decided to challenge myself to cel-shading without using Unity Pro's toon-shading material. Cel Shading is what makes a 3-D object or character; look flat or cartoon-like. I wanted to learn something new and gain some perspective on how shaders worked in Unity. This project is made for First-Person camera view.

Story:

This scene is set in the early Edo period where technology was not so advanced and people struggled to survive and live out their daily lifestyle.  There is a prodigy young man named Kouga and his short name was K.K.; short for Koukogakushya Kouga (Means Scientist Kouga). One day a portal from a far away galaxy opened to a planet called Touen and at first sight, they fell in love with Kyoto. They wanted to trade for their beautiful products in return the Kyoto citizens were bestowed with knowledge on advanced technology. This harmonious lifestyle went on for the next 7 years until another portal opened from the same galaxy as Touen. A planet that wanted destruction and war called Gyakuen. War happened and both Kouga's parents were killed when they were sent out to war to protect their beautiful city. 6 years later, Kouga wakes up with corruption of his memory and foresees Gyakuen's plans. It is up to Kouga to end the reign of Gyakuen and stop them before their plans succeed.

It turned out better than I expected despite how long I've taken to get the shaders to somewhat work!

I made big changes to my environment and also removed the cel-shading on each object.
